Use these passages throughout the week to deepen your understanding of prayer as presence with God.

Choose one passage per day. Read it slowly two or three times, sit in silence for a few moments, and simply pray, "Here I am, Lord." Notice how God meets you in the stillness.

Day 1 → Psalm 63:1-8

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you..."

Notice the longing in this psalm. What does your soul thirst for today?

Day 2 → Luke 11:1-4

The Lord's Prayer. Jesus teaches his disciples to pray simply and directly.

What specific phrase stands out to you?

Day 3 → Romans 8:26-27

"The Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."

When you don't have the words, the Spirit prays for you. How does this bring you comfort?

Day 4 → Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer... let your requests be made known to God."

What anxieties can you hand over to God today?

Day 5 → 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing..."

What would it look like for you to live in a posture of constant prayer?

Daily Rhythm

Choose one passage per day. Read it slowly two or three times, sit in silence for a few moments, and ask: "Who is God inviting me to see and serve today?" As you go about your day, look for one opportunity to practice generosity.

Prayer is not about having the right words. It's about having an open heart.
