Five Minutes with God: A 2026 Lenten Devotional
Welcome to a Lenten journey of returning to God, to clarity, and to purpose.
For generations, Christians have walked this forty-day journey by embracing five core disciplines:
- Repentance - turning back to God
- Almsgiving - love made visible
- Prayer - communion with the Father
- Fasting/Sacrifice - making space for what matters
- Walking in Love - Scripture reading and meditation
These practices help us slow down, listen deeply, and make room for God's renewing work.
How This Course Works
Spend a few intentional minutes with God each day. Each week focuses on a theme from Jesus’s life and includes:
- A short reflection
- A Scripture passage for meditation
- A simple practice connected to one of the Five Pillars of Lent
Your Weekly & Daily Rhythms
Read & Reflect: Read the devotion at the start of the week and revisit the reflection questions often.
Engage: Read the Scripture passage slowly and prayerfully.
Pause & Pray: Sit in silence for five minutes daily, asking the Holy Spirit to help you apply the reading to your life.

Lent is not about perfection.
