Lenten Scripture reading isn't about covering large portions of the Bible.

It is about listening for God's voice, invitation, and reassurance.

Here are six simple ways to engage the Word during this season:

Read Slowly: Read the daily passage without rushing. Notice which word or phrase stands out.

Sit With One Line: You don't need to understand everything. Hold onto the one line that speaks to you and let it echo in your spirit.

Ask a Simple Question: "What is God inviting me to see, release, or embrace today?"

Listen in Silence: Spend a few quiet moments letting the Word settle in your heart.

Carry It With You: Recall the passage later in the day—during a walk, while cooking, or before bed.

Trust the Spirit: Some days the reading will feel alive; other days, quiet. Both are holy. Trust that God is present.

Take your time. There is no rush. God meets us in the stillness.
